حصل د. محمد عقل على شهادة طب الأسنان من كلية طب الأسنان بجامعة الشارقة. سافر بعدها إلى الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية لمواصلة تدريبه الإكلينيكي في التركيبات و طب الأسنان التجميلي وزراعة الأسنان. انضم د. محمد إلى برنامج التدريب التخصصي في التعويضات السنية بجامعة مينيسوتا، حيث تخرج بشهادة أختصاص في التركيبات و الإستعاضة السنة وشهادة ماجستير في علوم طب الأسنان. ركز برنامج الإختصاص على تجميل الأسنان و ترميم الحالات المتقدمة باستخدام الزراعة و االتركيبات الثابتة والمتحركة. حصل د. محمد على شهادة البورد الكندي و الزمالة من الكلية الملكية الكندية لأطباء الأسنان، وهو مؤهل للحصول على شهادة من البورد الأمريكي للاستعاضة السنية. يحمل د. محمد شهادة الدكتوراه في التعليم الطبي من جامعة هارفرد-كينيدي في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية
د. محمد عضو منتسب في الكلية الأمريكية للتركيبات و التعويضات السنية، والأكاديمية الأمريكية لتركيبات الأسنان الثابتة، والأكاديمية الأمريكية لطب الأسنان التجميلي. يمتلك د. محمد خبرة عالية في مجال طب الأسنان الرقمي واستخدام التكنولوجيا، مما يتيح له وضع خطط علاج خاصة و فريدة لكل حالة. شغل د. محمد منصب رئيس قسم التعليم الرقمي في كلية طب الأسنان بجامعة مينيسوتا، ولا يزال يشارك بنشاط في الكلية كبروفيسور مساعد. يعمل د. محمد حاليًا كإستشاري تركيبات و رزاعة أسنان في المستشفى الأمريكي بدبي،
قدّم د. محمد محاضرات محلية ودولية حول مواضيع مختلفة في إطار التركيبات و تجميل الأسنان. تتركز اهتماماته السريرية والبحثية الحالية على طب الأسنان التجميلي، وعلوم ألوان الأسنان، وطب الأسنان الرقمي، وعمليات إعادة الإطباق السليم في حالات التكسر المتقدمة

Dr. Mohammed Akl received his dental degree from the University of Sharjah College of Dental Medicine. After a year of practicing general dentistry, he traveled to the United States to pursue further training in esthetic, implant, and restorative dentistry. Dr. Akl joined the specialty training program in Prosthodontics at the University of Minnesota where he graduated with a Diploma in Prosthodontics and a Master of Science degree. The advanced training program focused on esthetic makeovers, implant surgery and fixed, removable, and implant prosthetics. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and is eligible for certification by the American Board of Prosthodontics. Furthermore, Dr. Akl holds a Ph.D. in Health Professions Education from the Harvard-Kennedy University in the United States. His doctoral thesis focused on improving cosmetic dental education in the United Arab Emirates.
Dr. Akl is an active member of the American College of Prosthodontists, American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, and American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. He is passionate about digital dentistry and using digital technology to enhance patient care which allows him to create precise, predictable, and personalized end results that are tailored to every case. Dr. Akl is the former Director of Digital Education at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and remains actively involved with the school and the Division of Prosthodontics as an adjunct professor. He is currently a Consultant Prosthodontist and Implantologist at the American Hospital in Dubai.
Dr. Akl has lectured nationally and internationally on various topics of digitally augmented prosthodontics. His current clinical and research interests are focused on esthetic dentistry, color science, digital dentistry and complex reconstructions.
